Nintendo has updated its official Dream Island, Ninten Island, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with new New Year 2026 designs. Players can now collect and wear these festive items within the game, which is available on Switch and will soon be on Switch 2. These new additions follow the bell bag, Jingle, and wreath ugly sweaters previously released in November 2025. All these designs are accessible via Dream Address DA-6382-1459-4417 by speaking with Luna.
The three official New Year’s designs were created by Nina, with the creator ID MA-6818-1746-6029. These items include a 2026 Flag, a 2026 Hoodie, and a 2026 Knit Cap. Each design shares a consistent aesthetic, featuring a navy blue background adorned with fireworks and the year “2026” outlined in purple.

Further minor updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons may occur throughout 2026. A significant free update and the Switch 2 Edition are scheduled to launch on January 15, 2026. This update will introduce the Resort Hotel and Slumber Islands, and will also feature The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon-themed villagers.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is currently available on the Switch. The paid Switch 2 Edition upgrade and a free update for both game versions are set to release on January 15, 2026.
