A new update has been rolled out for Team Fortress 2, bringing a series of fixes and improvements to the game. Players will receive the update automatically upon restarting the game.
General Fixes and Improvements
- Addressed a crash related to KeyValues.
- Introduced a ‘No Bullets’ style for the Paka Parka.
- Fixed the Widowmaker not granting metal when a Spy is disguised as their own team.
- Resolved an issue where on-hit attributes would not trigger when a Spy was disguised as their own team.
- Corrected a game mode prefix check failure when loading maps from the Workshop.
- Added null pointer checks for a recent casual doors fix.
- Fixed a bug allowing Gas Passer gas to affect players within spawn rooms.
- Corrected a typo in a logical expression.
- Resolved Vaccinator charge sounds playing multiple times per tick.
- Fixed an event text leak in CTFHudPasstimeBallStatus.
- Addressed Minigun barrel movement being updated multiple times per tick.
- Fixed CHealthAccountPanel not using NegativeColor for negative values.
- Improved the random class selection algorithm to reduce the chance of failure.
- Fixed a KeyValues memory leak involving birds.
- Corrected the BLU team coloring for Team Spirit Footprints.
- Fixed animation playback in the class selection menu.
Item and UI Updates
- Updated Mann Co. Catalog controls to resemble the Workshop dialog.
- The Globetrotter has been updated to fix its second style using the incorrect BLU team skin.
- Some tournament medals have been updated or added.
- The Seamann’s Stubble received an update:
- The normal map was fixed for improved shading.
- The backpack icon was updated.
Map Updates
arena_afterlife
- Fixed a rare regression bug that could cause players in Hell to be counted as alive.
koth_dusker
- Fixed an exploit allowing players to build in the RED spawn.
- Addressed a perch spot located outside of the BLU spawn.
- Added a visual delimitation for the capture zone.
zi_atoll, zi_blazehattan, zi_devastation_final1, zi_murky, zi_sanitarium, and zi_woods
- Fixed an exploit that allowed Zombie Spies to disguise as Survivors.
ctf_doublecross_event
- Significant steps were taken to improve FPS on the map, particularly around the bridge.
- Reduced particle and prop usage across the map.
- The ability to roll the minify spell was removed and replaced with the teleport spell, which now has one charge.
- Extensions were added to the window frames looking through each opposing team’s base, and the raised shacks were made slightly more symmetrical to block Sniper sightlines.
- The two spell books located just outside the doors of each base were removed.
- The respawn time for the rare spell book was slightly increased.
- Gargoyle spawns were added.
- A number of minor visual issues and clipping bugs were fixed.
