The Sundered Tricephalos is a new invasion-style event introduced in Nightreign‘s The Forsaken Hollows DLC. This event involves multiple fire-summoning beasts appearing across the map, which players must locate and eliminate. Failing to do so makes completing the ongoing Nightreign expedition significantly more difficult.
The Sundered Tricephalos event also continuously drains your HP, making swift action essential. This guide provides a Nightreign Sundered Tricephalos event walkthrough, explaining how to defeat the fire-summoning beasts and outlining the rewards for doing so.

Elden Ring Nightreign Sundered Tricephalos Invasion Event Walkthrough
Players will immediately recognize the start of a Sundered Tricephalos Invasion in Nightreign. A notification stating ‘fire-summoning beasts have appeared’ will appear, the environment will shift to an orange, fiery aesthetic, and the character will begin to burn, slowly losing HP.
Checking the map will reveal three distinct large red circles, each with a boss icon at its center.

The primary objective, which should be addressed as quickly as possible, is to visit and defeat the boss located within each of these three red circles. Each boss is a version of Tricephalos, accompanied by smaller dogs that breathe fire and ignite the terrain. These dogs can quickly become overwhelming as their numbers increase after each Tricephalos is defeated. However, the Tricephalos bosses themselves have relatively low HP and are straightforward to take down.

Despite the Tricephalos’s vulnerability, the smaller, burning dog companions will relentlessly pursue players and their allies throughout the event. They are surprisingly difficult to evade. Attempting to defeat them is futile, as they will continuously respawn until the event concludes. Therefore, it is advisable to maintain a constant sprint from one point of interest to the next while targeting each boss. Alternatively, if playing in trios, each player could quickly eliminate one Tricephalos solo.
While many activities in Nightreign emphasize teamwork for quick boss defeats, this particular invasion benefits from a trio splitting up. By doing so, each player can rapidly eliminate one Tricephalos (given their low HP, they are manageable solo), thereby stopping the burning effect and avoiding prolonged chases from the dogs. If a player defeats their Tricephalos faster than their allies, they should quickly offer assistance, assuming the Tricephalos spawn points are not on opposite sides of the map. The event will then conclude swiftly.

Sundered Tricephalos Invasion Rewards
Upon successfully completing the Sundered Tricephalos invasion event (by defeating all three Tricephalos bosses), players will be granted a new power in Nightreign: Beast’s Hunt.
This power causes successive attacks to restore stamina and accelerate stamina recovery for the player and nearby allies. This ability is highly beneficial for Nightfarers who rely heavily on melee attacks, such as Duchess and Undertaker. Improved stamina regeneration translates to more opportunities for attacking and dodging, which is always advantageous.
