A leaked trailer has surfaced online, offering a first look at the highly anticipated South Park crossover in Fortnite, featuring Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and Butters.
These five characters are expected to be available as skins. They appear in mech-like suits, a method Fortnite has used before for shorter characters, such as Bart and Lisa Simpson, and Rick from Rick and Morty.
The trailer also showcases various South Park-themed items, including The Stick of Truth and Cheesy Poofs, which seem to function as a health consumable. Furthermore, a section of the current Fortnite Chapter 7 battle royale Island, specifically the Wonkeeland theme park, has been re-themed as “Cartmanland.”

The trailer also introduces Towelie, appearing as the newest pet-like Sidekick in Fortnite. This absorbent character joins other licensed Sidekicks previously featured, like Groot and Spongebob Squarepants.
The trailer ends with a player acquiring the Stick of Destiny, which triggers a lightning bolt effect. Earlier leaks have indicated this item might enable players to manipulate the battle royale storm’s shape, though this detail is not yet confirmed.
The monetization strategy for this crossover remains unclear. Unconfirmed leaks have consistently suggested the event will include a premium mini battle pass, a feature Fortnite has offered before, though not recently. It remains to be seen if Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive this mini battle pass for free, given the membership’s past claims of including all battle passes.
Speculation continues regarding other potential inclusions in the South Park crossover, such as characters like Satan or Donald Trump and his baby. Officially, Fortnite has only confirmed that the event is scheduled to start this Friday, January 9.
