ID-Cooling has introduced updates to its range of low-profile and budget-friendly CPU coolers. The company has revealed the IS-77-XT Black, designed to compete with top low-profile coolers, and a refreshed SE-XT V2 series, which continues to offer highly competitive pricing. Perhaps the most unexpected new product is the Frost X55, a high-conductivity thermal paste available in five different scents.
The IS-77-XT Black is a compact 77mm tall top-down cooler, ideal for Mini-ITX systems. Despite its small size, it boasts a nickel-plated copper base and six 6mm heat pipes, enabling it to manage CPUs with a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of up to 150W. It includes a slim 120mm PWM fan that delivers up to 65.2 CFM. A key design feature is its 100% RAM clearance. The cooler also offers two fan mounting options: a downward intake (push) or an upward exhaust (pull).
For mainstream users, the SE-214-XT (featuring four heatpipes) and SE-903-XT (with three heatpipes) have been updated to “V2” versions. These revised coolers incorporate Heatpipe Direct Touch (HDT) technology and an improved folded-fin stack, enhancing both structural integrity and thermal dissipation. They are rated to handle CPUs with a TDP of up to 220W. Currently, only the ARGB variant of the SE-903-XT V2 has been announced. The SE-214-XT V2 series, however, offers five different models: Black, Plus (with two fans), ARGB, ARGB White, and Auto RGB (available for OEM only). All models utilize AS-V2 PWM fans of varying sizes, designed for noise levels up to 29.1 dB(A). The SE-214-XT V2 also features a new top cover that hides the copper heatpipe terminations, giving these budget coolers a more refined appearance that aligns with modern blacked-out PC builds.
Finally, the scented Frost X55 thermal paste stands out. Its main feature is a high thermal conductivity of 16.2 W/mK. However, ID-Cooling is also emphasizing the “lifestyle” element of PC customization by providing this paste in five scent options: Core (unscented), Poma (apple), Bella (strawberry), Viola (floral), and Luna (fresh). This thermal paste is non-conductive and non-corrosive, engineered to prevent the “pump-out” effect often seen with high-pressure mounting, ensuring long-term stability on the CPU die.
Initial pricing details for some of these new components have been released. The SE-903-XT V2 Black is priced at $14.99, the SE-214-XT V2 ARGB at $18.99, and the SE-214-XT V2 Plus at $19.99.
