Valve’s digital games storefront and client, Steam, has surpassed its previous concurrent user record.
According to Steam tracker SteamDB, the platform recorded over 42 million simultaneous users on January 11, marking the highest number of concurrent players in its history. This figure represents an increase from the prior record of 41,816,052 users set just two months prior.
Of the 42,042,778 users logged into the client during the record-setting moment, 13,119,473 were actively playing a game.

In comparison, Roblox achieved its all-time peak player concurrent count during Q2 2024, with approximately 68 million users.
