New suppression technology and specialized gear are being introduced for Helldivers, allowing for covert operations across the galaxy. The Redacted Regiment Premium Warbond is scheduled for release on January 20.
Weapons & Stratagems
The Redacted Regiment Warbond provides two primary weapons. The R-72 Censor is a mid-range precision rifle featuring an integrated suppressor, designed for stealth on the battlefield. For those requiring more firepower, the AR-59 Suppressor is a fully automatic assault rifle with a non-removable suppressor.
For covert reconnaissance, the P-35 Re-Educator dart-firing secondary pistol is available. Its rounds release a chemical agent that causes delirium in organic targets and similar malfunctions in inorganic ones.
Alternatively, a commando approach is possible with the B/MD C4 Pack stratagem. This backpack contains six adhesive C4 charges and a wireless detonator, allowing for individual or simultaneous detonation from a safe distance.
To divert enemies, the TM-01 Lure Mine can be used. This throwable anti-personnel mine adheres to surfaces, emitting lights and sounds to attract nearby targets before detonating upon close proximity.
Armors, Capes, and More
The Redacted Regiment includes two armors and two capes suitable for reconnaissance. The RS-89 Shadow Paragon light armor offers an operative appearance with numerous pads and pouches for tactical gear. Alternatively, the RS-67 Null Cipher medium armor features a radar-absorbent polymer and null-signature heat baffle, making the wearer a sensor ghost. Both armors come with the Reduced Signature passive, which lowers noise levels and enemy detection range, requiring adversaries to be in close proximity to spot the wearer.
These armors complement the Pillar of the Abyss and Triangulation Veil capes and player cards. A new victory pose, Target Sighted, is also included, allowing players to signal their focus on the enemy.
The new Concealed Insertion booster equips Hellpods with a smokescreen for deployment upon impact, ensuring a discreet arrival.
Additionally, a new player title, [Redacted], can be claimed. This title allows players to indicate their involvement in significant operations without revealing specific details.
The Redacted Regiment is set to arrive on January 20, offering Helldivers new tools for infiltration and surgical strikes.
