2XKO, the free 2v2 fighting game showcasing League of Legends champions, is now available on Xbox Series X|S.
Players eager to experience the game might find the initial experience a bit overwhelming. With various champions, Fuses, and teamplay mechanics, there is much to learn, especially for those new to tag fighters or fighting games in general.
The following tips aim to assist players in getting started and enjoying the game immediately.

Form a Duo Partnership
2XKO is designed for 2v2 combat, allowing players to team up. Whether practicing combos in Training mode or competing on the Ranked ladder, the experience of fighting games is often enhanced when shared with friends.
Champions can utilize Assist moves by pressing A or back + A when offscreen. Each champion possesses distinct Assists, with examples including:
- When Braum executes Stand Behind Me Assist (back + A), he leaps to shield an ally from an incoming attack. This Assist can create distance when a team is under enemy pressure.
- When Blitzcrank uses Rocket Grab Assist (A), a robotic arm extends to pull an enemy champion towards the team. This Assist is effective for initiating engagements and setting up powerful follow-up attacks.
- When Vi activates Crater Maker Assist (back + A), she strikes the ground, generating a hextech aftershock. This move can hit airborne opponents, making it useful against jumping attacks.
When playing with a partner, they can swap in by pressing A immediately after a champion performs an Assist. Coordinating attacks, defending allies, and executing complex combos are key aspects of successful team play.

Discover a Preferred Champion
Each character in 2XKO offers a unique playstyle. For initial games, players can select champions based on visual appeal, as new choices are available in subsequent matches.
Caitlyn, known as the Sheriff of Piltover, is a recent addition to the roster. Her traps and precise aim allow players to maintain an advantage over opposing duos.
Teams consist of two champions who can complement each other’s abilities. Here are some suggested team compositions:
- Caitlyn and Vi
- Caitlyn uses her hextech-powered rifle for ranged headshots, while Vi prefers close-quarters combat. Their combined strengths enable them to engage opponents effectively at any range.
- Darius and Ekko
- Darius inflicts substantial damage with his battle axe and applies Bleed effects, though his movement is slower. Ekko maintains unpredictability with rapid movement and a teleport ability. Ekko can initiate or disengage, allowing Darius to land significant hits.
- Ahri and Braum
- Ahri is a swift spellcaster proficient in aerial combat, whereas Braum is a supportive champion capable of defending allies with a shield. Ahri’s magical foxfire can blast opponents, and if under pressure, Braum’s shield can provide cover for retreat or repositioning.
Utilize Pulse Combo
A combo involves chaining together distinct moves to inflict damage on an opponent. This can be challenging when first learning a champion’s capabilities, but Pulse Combo simplifies the process.
During champion selection, pressing RT enables Pulse Combo. Once activated, repeatedly pressing the same attack button will automatically execute a combo, provided the initial hit connects.
Distinct autocombos are available for the X, Y, and B buttons. Experimenting with each can provide insight into a champion’s potential move combinations.

Engage with Tutorials
For players seeking to enhance their gameplay, the Learning Hub offers a variety of tutorials. Available types include:
- Bot Beatdown: Winning battles against bots unlocks chromas, which alter the color palette of four champions.
- Tutorial: This series of fights teaches the fundamental mechanics of 2XKO, such as movement, attacking, and blocking. Completion rewards players with a set of cosmetics for their avatar.
- Combo Trials: These trials teach champion-specific combos, ranging from beginner to expert difficulty levels.
- Advanced Lessons: These lessons cover more sophisticated techniques for offense, defense, teamwork, and movement.
The Learning Hub also includes Training mode, where players can practice against bots at their own pace.
Experiment with Fuses
Fuses are modifiers that alter a team’s playstyle. Players select their team’s Fuse after choosing champions, allowing for experimentation to find the best fit.
Upon the initial launch of 2XKO, the following Fuses are available:
- Juggernaut: This Fuse allows play as a single champion with enhanced power. Assist moves are unavailable, but several buffs are gained, including bonus health, damage reduction, and additional meter bars.
- Sidekick: The Point champion receives health and a defense boost. The Assist champion cannot tag in but gains supporting abilities.
- Double Down: This Fuse combines the Super attacks of both Point and Assist champions.
Two additional advanced Fuses, 2X Assist and Freestyle, can be unlocked by completing tutorials within the Learning Hub.
