Team Fortress 2 has received a new update, which will be automatically applied upon restarting the game. This patch addresses several issues, improving various in-game elements and map functionalities.
Key Changes in the Update
- A minor z-fighting issue affecting the Wrap Assassin Festivizer has been resolved.
- The Taunt: The Critical Fail now concludes at the correct time for the Medic class.
- The Hard Carry Unusual effect has been updated to fix detachment problems when using the “adjust unusual” slider.
- Visibility for the Scorching Sensation and Burning Sensation Unusual effects has been improved in bright areas.
- An issue with the parent-child particle system for the Team Recognition Unusual effect has been fixed.
- Problems with the trail and brightness of the Frostfire, Spectrum Inferno, and Chromatic Blaze Unusual effects have been addressed.
- The Cryogenic Unusual effect has been adjusted to prevent it from obscuring parts of characters.
- A mipmapping problem with the Air Head item has been corrected.
- The map 2koth_abbey has received several updates:
- Broken cliff displacements have been fixed.
- Expensive water has been replaced with a more optimized version to enhance frame rates.
- Various other fixes and general improvements have been implemented.
- The map plr_matterhorn has also been updated:
- A hole in the spawn barrier has been patched (thanks Ctena!).
- A desync issue related to lifts has been resolved (thanks Skin King!).
- Team swapping on new rounds has been disabled.
- Clipping has been improved across the map.
- Bread optimization has been performed.
