Fractal Design has introduced the Pop 2 Air, the latest iteration in its Pop series. This new PC chassis is designed for high-performance cooling and a modern look, featuring an open-mesh front with a cubic pattern, a ventilated top, and a built-in GPU air guide that channels cool air to the main chamber’s center.
The Pop 2 Air includes three swept-blade fans for optimal internal airflow. Its exterior features a sleek design, a fabric tab, and a convenient front I/O panel with USB-A/C (5 Gbps) and audio ports.
This case is designed to house modern enthusiast components, offering support for graphics cards up to 416 mm, power supply units up to 180 mm, CPU coolers up to 175 mm, and top-mounted radiators up to 360 mm. It accommodates motherboards from Mini ITX to ATX. Storage options include one 3.5-inch drive bay and up to three 2.5-inch drive mounts, with space for up to seven 120 mm fans.
The assembly process is streamlined with tool-free panels, dedicated cable routing channels, and bracket-free SSD mounts, ensuring a tidy and simple build. Fractal offers the Pop 2 Air in several versions: solid, tempered glass (TG), and RGB models. The RGB variants include dedicated lighting control buttons on the front I/O.
The initial Pop series was recognized for its value and distinct features, like a hidden storage drawer. With the Pop 2 Air, Fractal enhances its predecessor through various refinements, building on a successful design with new capabilities. Its competitive pricing could establish it as a preferred choice for mid-range and high-end airflow PC builds.
