First details on the latest coming to The Show in 2026.

This year, MLB The Show centers on a player’s ambition to leave a lasting impact. More than just a single game, it embodies a continuous journey, starting with dedicated effort in high school and a relentless drive for improvement, aiming for a Hall of Fame career. This core idea guided the development of the game, leading San Diego Studio and MLB The Show to welcome back three-time American League MVP, Aaron Judge, as the cover athlete.
Judge’s career path, from high school to college, then through the minors to the majors, and onto the global stage, is mirrored in the game. The developers have strived to create the most authentic MLB experience possible, short of actually being on the field.
Aaron Judge consistently makes history. He was previously featured as the cover athlete in 2018, following a record-breaking rookie season in 2017. His current accolades include three AL MVP awards, seven All-Star selections, five Silver Slugger awards, holding the AL single-season home run record with 62 homers, and serving as the 2026 Team USA World Baseball Classic Captain.
These are just a few highlights from his extensive list of achievements. Judge’s performances have inspired not only fellow players but also athletes and fans worldwide. His return as the cover athlete for MLB The Show 26 is a significant event. Players are now challenged to consider how they will leave their own mark in the game.
