Story
Humanity faces imminent extinction in the near future.
A peculiar phenomenon strikes the Adhvan Resilience Research Academy City, a facility created to combat the looming catastrophe.
Monstrous entities called “GEMs” begin their assault on the populace, while a mysterious “bubble” simultaneously seals off the academy city, trapping everyone inside.
Within this isolated and dire predicament, individuals must confront their personal “karma.”
The true nature of the strange events engulfing the academy city remains a mystery.
Characters
Protagonist (voiced by Kengo Kawanishi)
- Age: 17 (skipped a grade)
- 6th year student at Adhvan Resilience Academy School of Science and Engineering in the Life Sciences Department
- Member of the basketball team
This gifted individual advanced a grade upon entering the academy. Living in Mano Dormitory with friends, he is Marika’s cousin and Sushiro’s closest friend. To uncover the perpetrator of a specific incident, he and his companions establish the “ADHVAN REBS” team.
Sushiro (voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi)
- Age: 19 (enrolled one year late, and repeated a year)
- 5th year student at Adhvan Resilience Academy School of Science and Engineering in the Life Sciences Department
- Member of the basketball team
Sushiro is a cheerful and kind figure, acting as an older brother to the group. As the basketball team captain, he is highly protective of younger students, though his overprotective tendencies can occasionally irritate his friends. He shares a deep bond with the protagonist, akin to brothers.
Anastasia (voiced by Aimi)
- Age: 18
- 6th year student at Adhvan Resilience Academy School of Science and Engineering in the Life Sciences Department
- Member of the cosplay club
Anastasia is a cosplayer with a passion for anime and a significant social media following. She possesses sharp intellect and strong intuition, though she can be somewhat indolent. Initially reserved and distant, she becomes more caring and openly affectionate once familiar with others. She also exhibits stubbornness and a superstitious nature.
Oliver (voiced by Atsushi Tamaru)
- Age: 15
- 4th year student at Adhvan Resilience Academy School of Science and Engineering in the Life Sciences Department.
- Member of the debate team
Oliver is a sarcastic individual who struggles with social popularity. Despite consistently ranking at the top of his class and excelling in debate competitions, his tendency to mock others makes him unpopular in personal interactions. Sushiro frequently teases him within the group, but Oliver consistently responds with cold indifference.
Chloe (voiced by Asami Shimoda)
- Age: 14
- 3rd year student at Adhvan Resilience Academy School of Science and Engineering in the Life Sciences Department
Chloe is a pure-hearted girl raised in a rich natural environment, with a deep affection for animals and nature. She was previously suspended for refusing to partake in animal experiments. Possessing a photographic memory and strong academic skills, she finds social interaction challenging. Only among her friends does she relax and lower her guard.
Marika (voiced by Aoi Nagatsuki)
- Age: 13
- 1st year student at Adhvan Resilience
- Member of the occult research club
Marika is the protagonist’s cousin, raised alongside him like a younger sister. Energetic and restless, she often serves as the group’s mood-lifter. Despite her cheerful demeanor, she suffers from asthma and has concerns about her health.
Systems
Sankhara Spacetime
The Sankhara Spacetime is a dungeon-like alternate dimension, representing humanity’s “ten evil deeds.” As academy residents transform into GEMs, they generate a Sankhara Spacetime, obstructing the protagonist and allies in their quest for the “truth.”
Battle
Combat blends real-time “speed action” with diverse tactical options. Players must leverage teamwork between the protagonist and companions, alongside potent special moves, to overcome challenging adversaries. Swiftly evaluate the evolving battle, select skills, and secure an advantage.
Genome Arms
“Genome Arms” are mutated limbs that transform into weaponry. Equipping different skills allows for various combat approaches. The protagonist’s Genome Arms can also be swapped mid-battle, offering strategic benefits by considering enemy weaknesses and team synergy.
Wall Slide
Approaching a wall initiates a wall slide, enabling rapid traversal across the field. Beyond quick movement, this technique facilitates surprise “raid attacks” on enemies from above. Raid attacks simplify combat, paving the way for swift victories.
Warning Signal
A warning signal appears when an enemy prepares to attack. Timely Genome Arm swaps in response to this signal allow for parrying enemy attacks, preventing damage and enabling a powerful “deflect counter.” Additional counters include successful dodges and recovery counters after being launched by an enemy. Mastering these diverse counters allows for effective responses to any enemy assault.
