Nioh 3 All Scampuss Locations

Nioh 3 features a total of 16 Scampuss locations. Locating all of these feline creatures will unlock the Scampuss Enthusiast trophy and achievement.

Scampusses are small, cat-like creatures identifiable by their purring sounds when approached. They often appear near shrines along pathways. Interacting with a Scampuss will cause it to flee, requiring players to chase it until it pauses. A second interaction provides a reward. Certain Scampusses necessitate a stealthy approach, such as crouching in tall grass, as they will reset if startled. Each Scampuss is considered a Valuable Collectible, consistently rewarding players with Ninja/Samurai Locks, which grant skill points. Additionally, some Scampusses provide a Scampuss Fur Ball. These Fur Balls can be offered to the Great Scampuss in the Eternal Rift, an area accessible after completing the first Crucible. Collecting and offering all Fur Balls to the Great Scampuss unlocks a Ninjutsu ability that temporarily transforms the player into a large Scampuss.

Scampusses are automatically marked on the in-game map with a white icon once a region’s Exploration Level reaches 4, typically achieved by discovering other collectibles. Players can access the collectible tracker for each region via the map. This allows for placing a custom marker and using the compass for straightforward navigation to their locations.

No Scampuss locations are missable. All game areas remain accessible for free-roam exploration after completing the main story, and missions can be replayed using the Battle Scroll found at shrines.
