During the February 2026 State of Play, following
, cinematics and gameplay footage for Silent Hill: Townfall were showcased. This title, developed by Screen Burn and Annapurna, is slated for a 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and PC. It marks the first Silent Hill game to adopt a first-person perspective, aiming to immerse players directly in its horror.
Unlike Silent Hill f, this adventure does not take place in the titular town. Instead, the new protagonist, Simon Ordell, finds himself on St. Amelia Island in Scotland. His situation is unclear, but a handheld CRTV device allows him to detect threats and provides broadcasts offering insights into his past. One trailer segment features a woman telling him they cannot “stay in this room forever” and that he must “come back” to her. Simon is seen on a dock, stating he “woke up in the water again.” He then traverses a fog-laden town, noticing a hospital wristband on one arm and an IV in the other.

A Silent Hill Transmission discussed the decision to make Silent Hill: Townfall a first-person experience. The developers explained how this perspective, along with the inability to see everything, is utilized to heighten horror and tension. They also mentioned replacing the traditional radio for enemy detection with a handheld TV, which players can use to examine frequencies and uncover information about their surroundings.
Silent Hill: Townfall is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2026.
