Lynae, a new Spectro Resonator available in Wuthering Waves 3.0, is a formidable sub-DPS character. While capable of dealing significant damage independently, her primary strength lies in her abilities to enhance the team’s damage output. This guide provides recommendations to optimize Lynae’s kit.
Lynae Build Guide
Basic Kit Breakdown

Lynae’s core mechanic revolves around 3 distinct Forte levels. Initially, she operates in the Optical Sampling Stage. In this state, her Forte gauge accumulates by executing basic attacks and skills.

Upon filling her Forte gauge, holding the Normal Attack button transitions her into the second Forte level: Kaleidoscopic Parade. This also replaces the Forte gauge with a Lumiflow gauge.
During Kaleidoscopic Parade, Lynae skates, and her movement speed increases as the Lumiflow gauge fills up to 120. Attacking and moving replenishes Lumiflow, but it rapidly depletes if she remains stationary.

Pressing the jump button while in Kaleidoscopic Parade allows Lynae to perform the Polychromatic Leap attack. This consumes 40 Lumiflow (one-third of the gauge) and grants 1 True Color bar.
With 3 True Color bars, Lynae can execute the Visual Impact skill by performing a basic attack mid-air. This skill deals substantial Spectro DMG, inflicts enemies with Photochromatic Flux, and, crucially, provides all nearby team Resonators with 40 points of Tune Break Boost for 30 seconds.
Visual Impact has a 25-second cooldown. Attempting to use it again before the cooldown resets will result in Irisdecent Splash, which deals damage but does not grant the Tune Break Boost.

Another significant aspect of Lynae’s kit is her Outro Skill. It grants the next incoming Resonator 15% All DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification for 14 seconds, or until they are switched out.
In essence, the goal with Lynae is to consistently activate Visual Impact to maintain the Tune Break Boost, thereby empowering the entire team.
Skill Leveling and Resonance Sequence Priority

The recommended skill leveling priority for Lynae is as follows:
- Forte Circuit
- Resonance Liberation
- Normal Attack
- Resonance Skill and Intro Skill
An exception to this priority occurs if Lynae reaches Resonance Chain S3. In that specific case, prioritizing her Resonance Skill for maximum leveling is advised.
Achieving Resonance Chain S3 is generally a good target for Lynae. Further advancements beyond S3, such as S4 and S5, offer less significant benefits for most players. While S6 is powerful, it typically demands a substantial investment that may not be practical for everyone.
Lynae’s skill tree also provides a choice between two Resonance Modes: Tune Rupture and Tune Strain. As there are currently limited ways to effectively utilize Tune Strain, Tune Rupture is the highly recommended mode.
Stats, Echoes, and Weapons

When building Lynae, consider the following Echoes and stat priorities:
- 4-Cost Echo: Hyvatia, aiming for 22% CRIT Rate or 44% Crit DMG.
- 3-Cost Echo: Two Echoes, ideally one with Spectro DMG and one with ATK%.
- 1-Cost Echo: 18% ATK.
- Substat Priorities: CRIT Rate = CRIT Damage > Energy Regen > ATK% > Basic Attack DMG Bonus
An alternative approach for 3-Cost Echoes is to prioritize Energy Regen. While this may reduce Lynae’s personal damage, it enhances her support capabilities. The damage-focused build is generally recommended, but the support option remains viable.
For the Sonata effect, the 5-piece Pact of Neonlight Leap is highly recommended due to its additional buff provided to incoming Resonators through Lynae’s Outro Skill.
The 5-piece Moonlit Clouds set is a strong alternative. For this Sonata, replace Hyvatia with the Impermanence Heron. This option focuses more on Lynae’s DPS contribution, offering solid performance, though it may not surpass the effectiveness of Pact of Neonlight Leap.
Regarding weapons, Lynae’s signature weapon, Spectrum Blaster, is her best-in-slot option. Other viable alternatives include the Phasic Homogenizer or The Last Dance. Static Mist is also a good choice, as it optimizes overall team DPS, ranking just below Spectrum Blaster, albeit at the cost of some of Lynae’s personal damage.
Teams

Lynae demonstrates considerable versatility, integrating effectively into various team compositions.
Currently, an optimal team setup features Augusta + Iuno + Lynae. In this synergy, Lynae enhances Iuno’s damage, and Iuno, in turn, provides buffs to Augusta. This powerful combination delivers high damage output alongside respectable survivability.
Alternatively, Ciaccona or Jiyan can substitute Augusta in this team, as both can effectively utilize Lynae’s Resonance Liberation buffs.

Lynae also forms strong pairings with other Resonance Liberation users, such as Xiangli Yao or Calcharo. These characters can be combined with Shorekeeper to create a robust team with improved survivability.
Overall, Lynae excels at buffing main DPS characters. She can even complement Resonators like Carlotta; while Carlotta may not benefit from Lynae’s Resonance Liberation buffs, she can still leverage Lynae’s other supportive abilities.
