Welcome to Talos-II
Talos-II presents a world of both stunning landscapes and persistent hazards. Over 150 years ago, pioneers established the initial ‘civilized zones’ after enduring conflict and disaster. Beyond these areas lies an expansive, wild territory, largely unexplored and home to both historical threats and emerging dangers. Players assume the role of the Endministrator in Endfield, guiding Operators to safeguard, expand, and redefine the limits of civilization. Exploration and development are intertwined; as Oripathy engines activate across the wasteland, automated production lines and industrial facilities will emerge alongside the player’s expanding presence on the planet.
Strategic action combat with real-time decisions
Arknights: Endfield is fundamentally an anime-inspired action RPG centered on highly strategic, real-time combat. Engagements involve up to four Operators fighting concurrently, allowing players to switch control between them instantly. Combat utilizes a layered action system. Basic attacks can be chained into strikes, which inflict stagger damage and restore SP. When an enemy’s stagger bar is full, they become staggered, making them vulnerable and susceptible to increased damage. This creates an opportunity to execute a powerful move, dealing significant damage and recovering more SP. SP powers each Operator’s unique skills, which serve distinct tactical purposes. Ultimate abilities can be charged for pivotal moments, and Operators can link their abilities under specific conditions to activate combo skills, rewarding precise positioning and timing. This combat system aims to be fast, dynamic, and deeply tactical, emphasizing thoughtful strategy over mere quick reflexes.
Building the backbone of civilization
Beyond combat, a core feature of Endfield is the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) System, which integrates with almost every gameplay element. Players will design and oversee automated production lines using various facilities to produce equipment, medical supplies, and other vital resources. These systems not only aid character progression but also influence exploration, resource management, and combat strategies. To enhance accessibility, Endfield includes a Blueprint system. Once blueprints are acquired, players can instantly construct, duplicate, move, or dismantle entire production lines with a single action. Custom layouts can also be saved and shared with others. As industrial zones grow, efficiency increases and trade routes develop, with different regions specializing in specific products. This makes the location and method of construction as crucial as the items being produced.
The story continues
The narrative of Talos-II extends beyond the initial launch. Events in Valley IV suggest a growing threat along the civilized perimeter. Before the full extent of the Corrosion is revealed, players will be drawn to Qingbo Stockade, located on the outskirts of Wuling. A sudden communication loss with Supreme Chief Tangtang, a previously encountered ally, coincides with reports of Bonekrushers in the vicinity. This convergence is not coincidental. Upon entering Qingbo Stockade to investigate, it becomes apparent that the danger is more profound than anticipated, and Wuling itself may face the impending Blight Tide. From this point, the journey expands, introducing new regions, companions, and choices that will shape future events. Tangtang is expected to play a significant role in this evolving chapter, with her journey alongside the player just beginning.
