Resident Evil 9: Requiem features three BSAA Containers. Locating and opening all of these containers awards the Crate Expectations trophy or achievement.
These containers are exclusively found while playing as Leon in the East Raccoon City area. They are large blue shipping containers. Players must first progress through the story to automatically acquire the “BSAA Container Keys” during a cutscene after powering the flooded garage gate. Once obtained, all three containers can be opened immediately.
Nearby containers will be marked on the in-game map. All collectibles in Resident Evil 9: Requiem are missable due to the absence of a chapter select feature. However, maintaining manual saves for each area allows for revisiting locations.
Step 1: Obtaining BSAA Container Keys
To obtain the BSAA Container Keys, advance the main story until reaching the Underground Parking Garage. Here, a flooded gate requires two batteries to open its control panel. These batteries are story-critical items, one found in the north-west section of the Underground Parking Garage and the other in the Sewage Facility.
After inserting both batteries, the gate opens, leading to a street. Turning left on this street towards the Cedarbrook Apartments entrance will trigger a cutscene, automatically granting the BSAA Container Keys. This progression is mandatory for the story, making the keys unmissable. Ensure story progression continues until these keys are acquired.
Step 2: Opening the 3 BSAA Containers in East Raccoon City
BSAA Container #1
This container is situated at the eastern end of the main road connecting the Gas Station and Cedarbrook Apartments. Climb up behind a truck at the road’s end to reach the large blue container. Use the BSAA Container Keys to open it.
BSAA Container #2
Located in Central Camp. Return to Central Camp and find the large blue container in a corner near a tent. Inside, a Repair Kit is also found, which is essential for fixing the Broken Signal Receiver.
BSAA Container #3
On the main road between the Gas Station and Central Camp, locate a large crane and use a fuel can on its generator. Proceed through the newly opened gate near the generator and navigate the construction site until a ladder leading underground is found.
Follow the underground path, which eventually loops back to the initial area of Raccoon City. The container is located outside The Applegate Hotel. Players would have passed this container earlier in the story but could not open it without the BSAA Container Keys.
