A recent update for Team Fortress 2 has been deployed, and players will automatically receive it upon restarting the game. This patch focuses on resolving various issues, improving cosmetic items, fixing unusual effects, and implementing substantial changes across multiple maps.
General Fixes and Item Updates
- The Engineer’s ‘The Final Score’ taunt now includes its intended audio.
- An issue causing incorrect props and team colors during taunts with Australium weapons has been resolved.
- Clipping problems with the Le Morne Uniforme cosmetic have been addressed.
- The Kapitan’s Kaftan has been updated to correctly conceal the Heavy’s bullets.
- A refraction bug affecting the ‘Fully Charged’ and ‘Overcharged’ Unusual effects has been fixed.
- The rigging for the Esprit De Corps item has been improved.
- Team colors for the Blindin’ Bonnett and Shady Shelby have been adjusted.
- Several tournament medals have been updated or added.
- The Fat Friar has received multiple improvements:
- Improved rigging.
- Mesh adjusted to account for the absence of a bullets bodygroup.
- Misplaced ambient occlusion and light generators removed from its texture.
- Normal map artifacts have been removed.
- The backpack icon has been updated to reflect these changes.
Map Updates
pl_citadel
- Payload collision has been adjusted.
- The radius of the payload spawn exit explosion has been reduced.
- Decorative particles now correctly disable rendering on low graphics settings.
pl_odyssey
- An additional 60 seconds have been added to the round timer upon activation of the final control point.
- Projectiles no longer incorrectly collide with the bounding boxes of func_brush entities.
- Various visual fixes and adjustments have been implemented.
koth_blowout
- An experimental cage has been added around the map’s central Blowout Preventer. This modification aims to provide more consistent cover around the control point, preventing players from exploiting small gaps or unfair vantage points.
- Optimization has been improved.
- The kill trigger delay in the finale sequence has been fixed.
- Several unintended sightlines have been corrected.
- Detailing and visual clarity have been enhanced in certain areas.
koth_boardwalk
- An exploit allowing enemy Spies to be smuggled into spawn has been patched.
- The ambient soundscape music volume has been reduced.
- New voice lines have been added for the Barker.
- A visible ‘hall-of-mirrors’ error in the water near the Sawmill of Love has been resolved.
- Visible nodraw textures beneath the shoreline boardwalk have been fixed.

- A bullet block has been added to prevent Red team players from shooting into Blue spawn.
- A bullet block has been added to the wires near the last control point.
- The setup goal text has been corrected.
- The fence adjacent to Red spawn has been slightly extended.
cp_fortezza
- Additional cover has been provided at the last control point.
- A defensive hold position has been added for Engineers defending the valley between points A and B.
- Pickups in certain areas have been rebalanced.

- The map’s file size has been reduced.
koth_demolition
- Pillars under the crane, previously red, have been replaced with yellow-textured versions.
- HDR settings have been adjusted to prevent overly bright lights.
- Helicopters have been replaced with models that do not feature the Yeti Park logo.
- Coaltown frames have been replaced with new ones displaying newspapers detailing the oilrig’s story.
- A decal indicating the oilrig’s name (Fort Water Rig No. 2) has been added near the spawns.
- The luxel scale has been updated in various map locations.
- Older bullet-blocking entities have been replaced with new ones to improve footsteps sound effects.
- Health and ammo pack stands have been updated: metal stands for outdoors and wooden stands for indoors.
- A mini ammo pack has been added to the furnace rooms.
- New clipping has been added above the furnace rooms to prevent Demomen and Soldiers from spamming the control point from a distance.
- Clipping on spawn platforms has been improved to prevent stickybombs from attaching mid-air.
