Devcat, the developer behind Full of Cats, has ventured into game publishing. This new division aims to offer its expertise to independent developers. The first title to be published under this new arm is Feline Forensics and the Meowseum Mystery, developed by Nobody Crown.
The Brazilian company stated its intention to leverage its extensive experience in marketing, community-building, and game development, gained from its successful game portfolio. This initiative seeks to broaden opportunities for other independent teams. Devcat also emphasized that its publishing efforts are not limited to cat-themed games.
Devcat is actively seeking “cozy and wholesome” projects that require support in areas such as marketing, localization, music, and game direction. Interested developers can find more details and contact the team through its website.
According to FofiƱo, described as “an orange cat who designs games for Devcats,” the company’s mission is to promote cat adoption and rescue efforts. This is achieved through the creation and support of enjoyable, cozy, and wholesome games.
Developers collaborating with Devcat also become part of this mission. A portion of the profits derived from Devcat’s share of each project will continue to be donated to support animal causes.
This move by Devcat mirrors similar expansions seen in the industry. Kinetic Games, the developer of Phasmophobia, launched Kinetic Publishing earlier this year, and Innersloth, known for Among Us, has also undertaken similar initiatives.
