The Final Puzzle stands as one of the most significant mysteries in Resident Evil: Requiem. This puzzle is complex and has not yet been fully solved by players. However, it is widely believed that the Severed Hand plays a crucial role in its solution. For those who have recently acquired the Severed Hand and are seeking its purpose, the following explanation details its immediate use, though it may lead to further questions.
How to Use the Severed Hand in RE9 Requiem
After completing the Care Center Basement section of the game, players can obtain the Severed Hand belonging to The Girl. While it functions as a key item, its initial application may not be immediately apparent.
There is a specific action that can be performed with the Severed Hand, which adds to the game’s unsettling atmosphere.
First, Emily must be secured. This can be achieved by leaving her with Harry on the helipad or by placing her on the sofa in the Guard Office.
Proceed to either the Blood Lab or the Office. Interact with the Blood Analysis Machine using the Severed Hand. This initiates another puzzle, similar to the Blood Specimen puzzles. The solution involves three steps: adjust the cube nodes at the far ends of the structure, then modify the center cube node to complete the puzzle.
Upon solving, a cryptic message, “Let’s play,” will appear, along with a lengthy mRNA code.
This interaction represents only one component of The Final Puzzle, which currently lacks a complete resolution. However, this explains the function of the Severed Hand. Once the hand is scanned, a previously opened puzzle box will become active, allowing for code input using the Sun, Star, and Moon buttons.
