Thrive is an open-source evolution simulator designed to incorporate various life stages, with the microbe stage now officially complete.
While the game aims for nine distinct stages, the primary development focus will now transition to the multicellular stage, estimated to take approximately one year. Following this, the macroscopic stage will be addressed.
This release introduces several new features, including updated terrain textures, new events, and various minor adjustments.
Thrive is available as a free and open-source game, though purchases from various stores can support its ongoing development. The game features native Linux support and has received a ‘Steam Deck Playable / SteamOS Compatible’ rating from Valve.
