The global edition of Fate/Grand Order has launched the Fate/Samurai Remnant Waxing Moon Chronicles event, available from January 7, 2026. This FGO crossover arrives approximately two years after its initial release in Japan in January 2024. The event introduces a new banner featuring Servants Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen and Yui Shousetsu, alongside a free Miyamoto Iori unit for event participants. These characters draw inspiration from the Musou game. The crossover event concludes on January 27, 2026.
The Waxing Moon Chronicles event mirrors its Japanese counterpart in Fate/Grand Order, with the global event focusing on the Waxing Moon Ritual set in Edo’s Keian period, consistent with Samurai Remnant. Jin Haganeya, known for writing the Fate/Grand Order Arcade crossover, penned this event. A prologue and the initial two main acts are immediately accessible, with acts up to 16 becoming available sequentially over the coming days.
An official trailer for the event is available.
Another trailer highlights the primary characters: SR Saber Miyamoto Iori, Saber Yamato Takeru, SR Caster Yui Shozousetsu, and SSR Avenger Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen.
Individual trailers showcase their Noble Phantasms. Miyamoto Iori’s Hidden Sword, Soaring Brilliance, is featured.
Yui Shousetsu’s Selfless Liberator, Unsparing Devotion, is also shown.
Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen’s Ox-King Inverted – Thundering Tempest can be viewed.
Fate/Grand Order is accessible on mobile devices globally. Fate/Samurai Remnant is available on Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. The FGO Waxing Moon Chronicles crossover event will run in the global version until January 27, 2026.
