Overwatch is making a return, dropping the “2” from its title and introducing numerous new heroes and significant enhancements.
During the Overwatch Spotlight event, it was announced that a “multi-faceted, fully-connected story” will unfold throughout the year across six seasons. Ten new heroes are set to join the game, with the initial five arriving when Season 1 launches on February 10th.
This narrative arc will feature continuous updates to maps, new artwork, and more. A new cinematic will introduce the story, which will then progress through motion comics, in-game events, new voice lines, animated hero trailers, and short stories.
Major annual updates are planned. A significant UI refresh will also give Overwatch a fresh appearance upon its return. Furthermore, heroes will be categorized into sub-roles, each offering distinct perks.
